HCO3 = 31
Another fully compensated blood gas. The pH is slightly to the acidotic side of 7.40. The CO2 is also acidotic at 53 mmHg and is therefor the primary cause of this abnormal ABG. The HCO3 is the compensation for this acidosis and has "pulled" the pH back into the normal range :
